For the past two weeks I’ve been hanging out in Uganda, Africa.  Otherwise known as ‘the Pearl of Africa’.  Here to visit my BEST friend Kelly who has been living and working with the Red Cross in the capital Kampala, I’ve been inspired to explore more of this beautiful continent.

Anyone who knows me well will be familiar with my strange affinity with gorillas, an obsession I would have loved to indulge while in Uganda on a gorilla trek.  Alas, funds prohibited me from fulfilling my dream this time round, but a safari is definitely on the cards for the future.

Besides not trekking with gorillas, I’ve been fully immersed into the ex-pat life here in the Pearl of Africa, as well as explored the beautiful Lake Mburo and swimming in the Nile in Jinga.  I’ve brunched at every cafe under the sun and even seen a few hippos, to satisfy my African wildlife quota.  Here are a few of my iPhone snaps.
